Contact: Denny Scott, 425-888-3650
We are pleased to report that the DO NOT DRINK WATER ORDER HAS BEEN LIFTED for the affected members in the Riverpoint and upper Mt. Si Road neighborhoods effective immediately. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this difficult time.
On Wednesday, October 31, a resident reported a suspicious person leaving the area of one of the Sallal Water Association’s (state water system ID # 75560Q) water tanks. Customers of the Sallal Water Association were notified on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 of a problem with their drinking water and were advised to NOT DRINK THEIR WATER.
Sallal took water samples daily from October 31 through November 9, as directed by the Washington State Department of Health (DOH). Saturday, November 3 Sallal’s water system operators made substantial repairs to the damage from the vandalism. On Tuesday, November 6, the tank was drained, sanitized and refilled. On Saturday, November 10 Sallal received test results from Friday’s water samples that showed no detection of bacteria. Final test results confirmed on Saturday, November 10, 2018 that the water is safe to drink.
